If entering the procession with a vehicle- please ensure you have adequate Motor Insurance in place for the task.

If playing recorded music then please ensure you have the appropriate PRS licence if/as required.

Carnival Route

Please arrive at Sawtry Village Academy PE28 5TQ by 11.00 if in a vehicle or with a float and 11.45 if walking. The parade will start at 12.00 noon. It will leave SVA, turn left, go past Greystones and turn left again onto Green End Road. It will continue on past the Old School Hall, past the Post Office, turn left onto Beaumaris Road, up to the mini roundabout then left along Fen Lane, continuing back to Sawtry Village Academy. The carnival courts will continue into the arena to welcome everyone to the carnival. All other groups to disperse as they approach the library.

We appreciate that it is a fair distance around the village but we ask if pre-school groups could organise as many adults and children as possible please to remain in the parade for the full route representing their group and not leave at the half way point, that would be greatly appreciated.

Procession Classes

The carnival procession will be judged and prizes will be awarded for the following:

1. Best group in the parade

2. Best dressed children’s group

3. Best individual child
